Arts & Culture:

The Royal Ontario Museum with the creation of the Michael Lee-Chin Crystal addition, designed by renowned architect Daniel Libeskind, The Gardiner Museum and The Bata Shoe Museum are within two blocks of The Hazelton while many of the country's finest private art galleries and antique shops are only steps away. The Art Gallery of Ontario (re-developed by the world renowned architect Frank Gehry), the Four Seasons Centre for the Performing Arts and the newly renovated Roy Thomson Hall are all within 10 minutes by house car.*

Entertainment

Toronto is the undisputed entertainment capital of Canada, and the Entertainment District is the home of our premier theatres and sports venues. The Toronto Symphony Orchestra is in residence at Roy Thomson Hall. The Blue Jays call Rogers Centre (formerly the SkyDome) home, and the Raptors and Maple Leafs cohabit the new Air Canada Centre. The CBC Broadcast Centre is the home of our national TV and radio networks, and the ChumCity building is a futuristic and interactive media headquarters at the heart of downtown Toronto. The Metro Toronto Convention Centre is host to dozens of conventions and consumer shows each year including the increasingly popular Canada Blooms in March.

The crown jewels of the district are the Royal Alexandra and Princess of Wales theatres. You can take all of this in from the sky deck atop the CN Tower, the world's tallest free-standing structure. With all this entertainment, it is easy to see why a lively concentration of restaurants, nightspots, retail shops and visitor attractions have located in this vibrant city core.
