During the last few months, we have worked diligently to advance our renovation project, working once again with internationally renowned design firm Yabu Pushelberg to create a transformed guest experience. We thank you for considering The Hazelton for your stay when you are ready for travel. Below is a brief summary of the safety and cleaning protocols that you can expect from us. We will endeavor to ensure that they are implemented in a tasteful manner as you enjoy a memorable stay with us. For more details, please find below our detailed 8-point Safety plan.

YOUR ARRIVAL TO OUR HOTEL
After being greeted by our front of house team, we will walk you through the relevant processes we have implemented to ensure your safety and wellbeing while you are at our hotel. A wellness kit including a mask, gloves, hand sanitizer and disinfectant wipes will be placed in the room for every arriving guest.
At The Hazelton, we know well that our team members will be a cornerstone in providing a safe and healthy stay while with us at the hotel. Each team member will be temperature tested before entering the hotel and on a daily basis. Every colleague will be presented with their own protective equipment and will maintain a 2 meter, or 6 foot, distance to ensure your comfort and safety at all times. Each team member will go through a mandatory and comprehensive health and safety training before returning to work.
PHYSICAL DISTANCING AND A SAFE ENVIRONMENT
Throughout our spaces, signage will be placed in a tasteful manner to remind the guests and colleagues alike of safe distancing protocols. Touchless hand sanitizer stations will be made available as well including at the reception, concierge desk, guest floors, our restaurant and other locations. “High touch” points like door handles, desks and elevator buttons and surfaces will be sanitized regularly.
HEIGHTENED SANITIZATION AND CLEANING PROCEDURES
Our housekeeping team is elevating their already high standards of cleaning with enhanced procedures, and CEPA and hospital grade cleaning agents, placing a special emphasis on high touch areas and points in the guest room. Our guests will expect to arrive in a room that has been sanitized and sealed.
RESTAURANT, BAR AND NOURISHING YOU
The floor plan of our sought-after patio has been updated to reflect local guidelines and allow you to dine at a safe distance from other guests. The same will be applied to our indoor dining areas once local guidelines allow their re-opening. Our service team members will wear masks at all times and our kitchen staff will practice rigorous cleaning processes. Each setting will receive the same cleaning procedures as elsewhere in the hotel, and we will cleanse and disinfect high touch points regularly.
If it becomes necessary to seek medical support, our team will be there to assist and support you in this process. Our hospitality has always been about a genuine care for our guests and this is something that you can expect from us and depend upon.
Please be advised, The Government of Canada has put in place emergency orders under the Quarantine Act, which is applicable to all international travelers arriving in Canada. Under the Quarantine Act all international travelers are required to self-quarantine for 14 days unless they are exempt from this order by a Canada Border Service Agency Screening Officer after providing documentation related to the essential service they provide and exhibit no symptoms. Failure to comply with this order is an offence under the Quarantine Act.
